Thankyou again for catering our lunch for the day after our wedding at such short notice. You guys were so accommodating in your menu in helping us find a balance to suit requirements and budget and the food on the day was superb. We didn’t lift a finger and your set up and service was seamless. Great food, great service - could not have been happier.

The barbecue was delicious and I had to try all the salads to accompany it. So we had a really lovely time. Our request was promptly replied to and very helpful. The set up and clearing up were good. Excellent quality food for the price. No cheap rubbish! Very nice choice. I loved the spicy burger, then tried a gorgeous pork chop which wasn’t dry at all. Thumbs up.

Alex is without a doubt a very talented chef but also a very nice person to be around aswell. He was able to adapt a 9 course tasting menu to meet our allergy needs and the food that arrived was faultless. Each course was well timed giving the feel you were in an actual restaurant, the ingredients used where of a high quality and his ability to work clean, tidy and professional in a very small, hot and dark room was very impressive. Highly recommend Alex to anyone, if I\'m in the area again will defiantly be the first on my call list for a dinner party. Cheers for a great night made extra special by your hospitality!

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for providing such a delicious BBQ last night. I can only comment on the vegetarian options but they were all delicious and I'm regretting not bringing all the left over potatoes back to Manchester for my lunch. We had great feedback from all our guests and Craig, our Director of Bruntwood Leeds, was very happy. We really appreciate you stepping in at the last minute and pulling it all together with such short notice.

What’s your signature dish?

With our founders having travelled and trained throughout Europe together we take much inspiration from classical French and Mediterranean influences.
The one that brought us together however is our take on a classic French duck dish- with a poached and seared duck breast atop a buttery Jerusalem artichoke purée, with baby root vegetables, and a blackberry-cabernet sauce. Our twist is to turn the duck skin into crunchy duck crackling crumbs, and garnish with dehydrated blackberry powder!
This one has always appeared in our highest level dinner party menu, and won’t be leaving it any time soon!

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?

We find that the joint effort of developing a custom menu is one of the most enjoyable aspects of the booking process- we use collect ideas, pictures and themes from clients and write bespoke one-off menus and then begin to refine this making adjustments until we discover your perfect menu.
This is probably the greatest benefit over restaurant dining, and gives a host a sense of pride and ownership over the menu they design, even taking a little credit from their guests for the amazing menu!

What do you love most about your job?

We at TheCatermen love the creativity and variety as much as you do- no two events are the same and we get to excercise all of our culinary skills at every occasion.
Having experience in professional menu development we love to see a concept develop and grow, until the final result really “makes sense” - dish by dish, from the first bite to the last.

What inspired you to start your own business?

It is impossible to find such creative freedom anywhere else on the planet! Even running a brick-and-mortar restaurant has its limitations as you must stick with the cuisine or style that your brand becomes known for- we on the other hand get to play with a great many exotic and exciting culinary creations, and we aren’t planning on settling down just yet!
