The only downside of this hotel was small rooms. The decor, food, variety of drinks were all very good. The big thing with this hotel was the amazingly helpful and friendly staff. They were so good, I made a point of noting their names. Claire, the manager, Karl the barman, who found me a deodorant when I realised mine had emptied its self into my rucksack. Shannon and Kate, the bar staff, who advised us on food, and possible places to visit, and last but not least the dry humour of Lois and friendly attitude of Debbie, who looked after us at breakfast. All were perfect representatives of your brand. Thank for making this part of our hundred miles walk so pleasurable. More...

Room 15 was clean, comfy and very cosy. En-suite was a bit too snug though. An excellent breakfast was included in the price and the additional evening meals in the bar were very good and filling. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Would be happy to stay there again. The window blind did not quite meet in the middle so no posing with the light on! More...

I checked in early at 11.30am and the owners are very helpful and friendly. The heating wasnt on and they popped it in within minutes of my request so I had a lovely cosy room. Food is high quality and very reasonably priced. Breakfast cooked fresh to order and made within minutes. I will definitely be returning next time Im in the area. Hopefully in the summer months when I can use the nice looking garden. More...

All good nothing negative to report really. If I was really picky the decor in the corridor and stairwell leading to the second floor needs doing, its a shame as the rooms are fine but fills you with a little dread as to what to expect and it lets the whole decor down. As i say picky as everything else was fine. More...

A very good experience. Staff very friendly. Spacious clean room (number 11) New bathroom, but the sink rather tiny. The corridors a bit tired but the room was fine and the downstairs area bright and modern. We found that we had everything we needed with tea making facilities provided. A hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. We expect to be back. More...

- Very dog friendly, we came as a group of 7 with 2 dogs. There were many dogs, however there is a restaurant area without dogs. - The food is brilliant, with both typical pub options as well as more interesting ones (including chorizo and butterbean casserole). - Service was unfortunately quite slow (although it was lunchtime on a Sunday) though to make up for the wait our desserts were on the house!- The staff were lovely, and very accommodating (for example the 8y/o of our group wanted chocolate ice-cream instead of vanilla with dessert, and they got it for her in addition with the vanilla). - Facilities are good quality, however there is only one lavatory for men and one for women. There is also a garden with additional seating next to the pub car park. More...

Set in a lovely little village the Castle Inn Hotel is a lovely place to stay. The room was really nice with lots of little extras that you would not expect - like eye masks and ear plugs, plus an ironing board and iron. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We booked this Hotel after a family party locally as it was late for travelling home, there were 3 of us and have to say it was excellent. The 2 rooms we had were clean and fairly spacious our room was missing towels but after seeing the staff had an apology immediately and towels were then provided.Breakfast was included and there was the usual cereal, yogurt and drinks to help yourself, and the main breakfast was a choice and my goodness you had a large choice all very good a full breakfast, smoked salmon & scrambled eggs, beans on toast,Eggs Benedict plus many more. What can I say but fantastic, we have stayed at the castle inn twice now first time was a late booking where we were let down by another local hotel and after a call to the castle inn we had a room booked and food ready on the table within half an hour of the call, our second stay was again great a wonderful meal in the evening, the superior room was lovely nicely set out with sky tv and tea/coffee and this time we had time to have a breakfast which you have s great choice and really tasty, I will stay again and recommend anyone to give the castle inn hotel a try, you won’t be disappointed

The hotel is in the village of Bramber. The staff are really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent - both dinner and breakfast - and plentiful. The room was comfortable and quiet - only one small gripe - the light in the bathroom was activated by motion sensor. You had to keep the door closed, otherwise you end up with a light-show if you are a restless sleeper!! Not normally a problem but it was really hot and humid when we stayed and you couldn't get o through draught via the bedroom windows!! This is a great place to base yourself for exploring the area. Just a few miles from the coast - near Shoreham, Arundel, Brighton and the South Downs. We would happily stay here again More...

This was my second time staying here. I was walking the South Downs Way, and this inn is conveniently located right in Bramber, not too far off the trail. My room was clean and comfortable, but the room I was assigned this time was VERY small compared to the one I stayed in the first time. This is a very old building, so rooms can be quite different. Do pay attention to this detail when booking your room. ||||Breakfast was excellent, and it seemed to be much better organized than the first time I stayed there. More...
