Amazing hotel, staff were very proffesional, food was brilliant, room was comfortable and clean, the use of the jacuzzi and swimming pool was a bonus, will definitely be back again

This was our 3rd stay at Park House in the last year. Was a bit surprised to see recently negative comments as for the price we cannot fault this hotel. We emailed ahead to ask for a specific room and early check in and this was not a problem. Yes, the carpets in the corridor could do with replacing, but the hotel is clean and comfortable. Our room was lovely and warm, bed very comfy and the bathroom spotlessly clean. All the staff are so nice and we have never had an issue with staff when we have stayed. We used the park house hotel for my daughters wedding it was a beautiful day the staff were exceptionally helpful nothing was too much trouble for them I would definitely recommend it and I would use them again thank you Dan, Lou and all the other staff you are all amazing

We recently lost our dad and we held his wake here. The staff were totally amazing, the food was fantastic and they replenished the food counter with more food as we had asked them to prepare for 40 guests and 70 turned up! A friend and I stayed here on Saturday night while we visited the area. We stayed in one of the big twin rooms on the second floor. The room was large and comfortable with a very nice bathroom. Towels were pristine white and there were nice touches like bottled water and good quality biscuits. Yes of course some of the carpets in this hotel have seen better days (and the cushion on my bed should just have been binned!) - it’s a huge place to maintain but the very reasonable prices they charge reflect that. Apart from some of the soft furnishings needing replacement the hotel was very clean and our beds were comfortable. We took the dinner upgrade and were delighted when we found out that unlike most meal deals we could have anything on the menu including fillet steak. Our dinner was beautifully cooked and nicely presented and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. Breakfast was honestly one of the best we’ve had - excellent choice of good quality products and again we could have various extras for no extra charge eg smoked salmon, haddock and eggs cooked to order. A great place to stay if you need to be in or around Telford. I visit Telford often and always stay here. The hotel is very clean all through. The staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is more than adequate. A 5-10 minute drive from the ever expanding Telford shopping centre. Wolverhampton is 30 mins away as is Shrewsbury. More...

My wife and I stayed here for five nights and on the whole, enjoyed our stay. We stay in around a dozen hotels a year and this one was above average. The plus points were that the room was a good size, the heating was good and the Staff were polite and friendly. Bottled water was replenished in the room every day and towels and toiletries were kept refreshed. An extra pillow was supplied without the need to ask, once room service had spotted that I used a towel for the first night to boost up the pillow height. A 'Safe' would be beneficial and a good addition to the room. There is plenty of parking, but quite a few very deep puddles when it rains. Breakfast is good, with a great choice of full English or Continental. The restaurant food is also good, though a little pricey. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay. More...

A niece hotel,but, we found the stairs ( lots of them) a bit to much as I had a full knee replacement only three months a go. There is a lift but not to the area we were allotted,, we did ask for another room, with a wedding taking place the next day we could not be moved.Also the hotel is looking tired and needs a lot of LTC.Apart from that the hotel staff are friendly and helpfulThe breakfirst is very good,the evening menu needs revising less chips and more vegetables please. Stayed for one night. The room was spacious with a king sized bed. Iron, ironing board, kettle, iron, tea and coffee as well as bottled water. |The towels and bedding we clean however the room was dated and could do with an update. |We ate at the butlers bar which had a selection of meals including burgers, steaks, fish and chips, pies and sea bass. The food was nice but a little pricey for the portion size.|Breakfast was good with a variety of full English and continental foods to choose from.The dining room has peeling wallpaper which is slightly off putting.| On the plus side the staff are extremely helpful and cheerful.|Overall I would stay here again if we were ever in the area. Well, yesterday we held our wedding at the park house! All I can say is WOW. From they day it was booked they listened to what we wanted and came up with ideas that suited us. The day itself was amazing and every single member off staff was kind, polite and nothing was too much trouble. Dan Richards is attentive and knows how to handle the crowd! We was checked in no problems we had one of the cottages it was spotless we used the restaurant at night twice and can't fault the food the staff work very hard all of them. From walking through the main doors, a lovely greeting, very informative, arrived early room was not ready, so lovely receptionist gave us a room that was ready. Very pleased with executive room, large bed flat screen TV. Beautiful bathroom. The hotel has lots of atmosphere. A swimming pool and jacuzzi, unfortunately there was a technical problem with the jacuzzi so spent time in and out of pool..meals were a bit expensive so we dined out locally..lots of lovely pubs. Breakfast was self service and nice.. lots of choice..friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble throughout our stay..there's also a lift, excellent because of poorly knees. I stayed here for 2 nights in September for a business trip. I stayed in room 32.||Pros:|The staff were friendly and helpful. |The room was well kitted out with everything I needed for a comfortable stay - hairdryer, toiletries, extra towels, hot drinks / kettle. The biscuits were nice and I liked the complimentary bottles of water.|The room was cleaned to a high standard|The executive room I stayed in was a nice size (not too small)|The shower water pressure was very good|The breakfast selection was really good, the food was laid out well and looked nice|The bar, whilst small was nice, with efficient staff and the food was delicious|The hotel looks lovely outside, is well maintained|||Cons:||The bed mattress was a bit too soft for my back.|There was a fan for the pool outside my room which was noisy. This was supposed to be operational between 7am - 9pm. On day 2 it was turned on at 6.10am which woke me up. And my room was apparently in the quieter area of the hotel!|The room looked quite tired and dated.|There is no aircon.|There was an adjoining room door, from which I could hear my neighbours and who woke me up at 11pm both nights with their loud talking.|My room did not have a phone.|I wasn’t a fan of the larger key fob and key to lock the door. It wasn’t always easy to lock the door and remove the key.||My stay was alright, this hotel was chosen as the one we wanted to stay at was fully booked. Went with friends fron USA for 2 nights as a base for ironbridge and bwetsy-coed. Rooms were clean and comfortable upstairs opposite each other, kettle etc and biscuits. No fruit teas. . Block of 4 rooms 2 others on ground floor. Our double glazing was blown so windows hard to see out. Good location for Ironbridge. Shafnal has its own shops and train station to Wolverhampton and Birmingham walking distance from hotel. Reception were professionally friendly. Check in was quick. Shame about swimming lessons on Fridays which meant we couldnt use the pool. There is no sauna or steam room. We had a game of table tennis instead. Unfortunately i became ill with vertigo on the first morning and had to skip food for the day, spent 24hrs in bed which made our trip a waste. However, the cleaner couldnt do enough to help and gave bathroom a good clean on our request even though i was in bed. There was a wedding party which did not affect our stay. Nice hotel. Staff went out of there way to find a room suitable as stairs were an issue. Breakfast on the 1st morning was poor, not replenished, lack of plates, waiting for drinks but much better on the Sunday morning.
