Mia is an absolute pleasure to work with! She was brimming with ideas about content from the get-go for our short film. We collaborated on the spoken word side of things, and she really encouraged my input. She created some wonderful narratives relating to how nature inspires my work which we filmed in the countryside near my studio. Her passion and her expertise were clear from the beginning and I felt very comfortable working with her. Mia created a sneak preview of the film for social media which was very well made and allowed me to share online before she finished the entire short film. When the final film was revealed it blew me away! She has such a sweet, soft, almost reminiscent feel to her filming, it was like stepping into a dream. She also took it upon herself to source additional footage to add to the film in between our scenes which was wonderful and really helped paint the picture. I can highly recommend Mia for working on creative projects. She filmed my short dance video and went to great lengths to help me produce what I was dreaming of. The amazing Mia created a beautiful film for my Crowdfunder project in October and I absolutely love it! She spent time with me beforehand and really listened to what it was I wanted from a film. She then wrote the plot and kept me updated with her developments. The filming took two days and then came the editing. Mia was so helpful during the whole process and was even happy to change a couple of things once it was finished. Mia was great to work with; very flexible and accomodating. She is very approachable and provides ideas without overriding your own thoughts and needs.
I wrote my script and Mia created the shot list and we agreed together what extra bits could be added in.
Mia was creative with the cut aways, which improved the overall feel of the video. The filming aswell as the editing was really quick.
I am very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend Mia.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
There aren't any secrets! It's very much like painting and drawing, it takes a long time to understand angles, lighting and all kinds of emotions that you can put into a photograph. Each little element can give it a different look. There are no secrets and there are no rules! Beautiful images are produced after time invested into the craft.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Some times you aren't quite sure what you need, and I'm happy to help you with ideas!

Describe your creative process.
Photos:
If it's a simple photoshoot, we have a chat and then we set up the location and dates to take photos. Once the photos are taken I will send over the raw images for you to choose ones to be edited/enhanced. I'm very laid back in the photo shoot and will make you feel at ease, I prefer to do a lot more candid images but also throw in a few natural poses.
Video:
I like to discuss what your needs are and come up with ideas, and then produce a creative brief or script based from this. We then plan dates to film, after the production process I then edit the video. Then once you're happy with the production you pay and we sign off the project.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the different stories I come across, some jobs are simple and others are more complex and I really enjoy the mixture of people I get to meet and produce wonderful things for them. I love the huge smiles when they can't believe the quality.
