What do you love most about your job?

Seeing peoples faces when they see their windows looking like new.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I worked for most of the window cleaners in the North West gaining knowledge from them, I learned that they were not doing the job properly. They damaged peoples properties, they overcharged people and overall they did not have a clue what they were doing, it was a joke. I cannot believe that people are actually allowing these cowboys to clean their windows and conservatories, scratching them and leaving hard or impossible to remove black marks on their UPVC. They use harsh chemicals which bleach the UPVC and rot the seals. Its a total mess, the window cleaners use cheap equipment, if done, by so called the traditional method (does not clean just moves the dirt about) with a rag, bucket and squeegee then their equipment costs less than £20, a total joke, when our equipment cost over £20,000 and they charge the same, so now you can see the difference, and I cannot believe you are employing these cowboys destroying your glass and frames. I used to work for them so I know, I was to ashamed of charging the customers, so I had to leave the job, that is why I started my own window cleaning business because I do it 100% perfect with no damage and if required I restore the frames back to new.

Hiring a professional window cleaner to clean your windows will typically give better results than choosing to take on the task yourself. This is because professional window cleaners have experience in the best methods for cleaning windows, as well as the professional equipment. You may also find that hiring a professional window cleaner works out cheaper when you consider the price of purchasing the equipment, along with the value of your time.

The price of professional window cleaning will depend on the size of your home, how many windows you have, your location and the frequency of cleaning. Prices range from around £5 for a flat, up to £15 or more for a larger detached home. The best way to find out the cost of professional window cleaning for your home is to request a quote from a professional window cleaner.

Window cleaners have traditionally used ladders to clean windows which are hard to reach. However, HSE now recommends that window cleaners avoid using ladders wherever possible to enhance safety. This could involve using an extendable pole with a window cleaning attachment.
