They were warm, energetic and full of creative and fun ideas for our wedding. They listened to what we wanted from the start and came back with a really thorough plan on how to approach the day. Sara and Doug spent the full day with us from 11am to 9pm and were incredible throughout the day. I had a rather stressful start to my big day and Sara was incredible at keeping me calm and smiling! Looking at the album, I have no idea how they managed to be in so many places at once and get such personal shots without me even noticing them! Sara also spent an extra couple of hours with us during our registry office as we were getting legally married a day before our ceremony wedding at Bridge House Barn. The quality of the pictures are brilliant and they go the extra mile with the wedding pack. For a very competitive price, they produce a photobooth guest book, will fancy dress/silly photos of your nearest and dearest with a written note from each guest, this arrives around 10 days after your big day (depending on time of year), then you receive all your wedding photos on a personalised USB stick, with 40 hand picked photos in a beautiful presentation box. We also paid extra for Sara to produce a full album with 250 photos from the day. Her eye for detail is insane and she puts together and prints the most wonderful, high quality wedding album. This is an added extra but to any bride and groom looking for a full album post wedding, I would HIGHLY recommend Sarah for the job. This was really important for us as we opted for no videographer. They managed to capture the story of our day really well, all through the power of photo! Overall, cannot recommend enough. What a great team!

I would thoroughly recommend James for any of your photographic needs. He is very helpful and friendly and although he hasn't taken any photos for me I can imagine he would be great. My son recently graduated and we had a great informal photo that I wanted editing and printing. We were stood in front of a sign which said "restaurant " behind his head and James was able to edit it out and enhance the photo, then print me several copies. It's often rare when someone knows exactly what they want or need, so I will often start by asking why they are getting the photographs done.
If it's product photography, then what is their target audience and are the photos just for online use or for magazine or posters as well. If they are looking for business portraits or actor portfolio shots then what is their main purpose for getting the shots done and what media are they being used in - are they wanting indoor or outdoor and natural or rural (city) settings or with backgrounds, And do they want the results in colour or black and white (although we always provide both).
What are their timescales for getting the images done?, Are they looking for indoor studio type shots or outdoors?
Will they need actual prints or just digital images?
Can they give me an idea of their budget?
Meeting People. I love what I do with a passion. Every photoshoot is different and always presents different challenges which are fun to solve.
It might be because some products reflect light in a tricky way or a person hates having their photos taken, we find then generally they are small and varied issues that, through experience and a bit of time, we can easily overcome.
I have been taking photos for over 40 years (15 as a full time professional). I worked many years ago in retail (at Dixons) and so could take hope any camera and lens that I wanted to borrow and really use them in the real world. This allowed me to honestly recommend to customers what they needed to buy in order to take the types of photos they wanted.
This lead to a passion for photography that has stayed with me - I'm excited now, producing the results that people really love and that they need.
