WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY - With 2o years experience taking photos for national magazines like Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire, celebrities from Paul McCartney to the cast of TOWIE, I’m now really happy to offer those same skills when taking photos at your wedding. The feedback I consistently get from couples is that I perfectly capture the spirit of the day. I prefer photographing weddings using a documentary style but I do also offer the option of some formal set ups, depending on what you'd like. I'm fully insured by a dedicated professional photographers insurer. The full day package includes a second photographer to make sure we never miss a special moment. All equipment is of a professional standard with spare camera bodies and lenses to ensure a broken camera can’t ruin your day. A full day of photography with no extra costs, no matter how late I’m snapping is £1,200 (£1,440 with VAT), a short day of up to 3 hours is £500 (£600 with VAT)
The secret to a great photo is being able to see everything that's in front of you and to be able to anticipate what's going to happen next. I see composition and light and then I either wait for something to happen in it or I nudge people in that direction.
I find out how they feel about being photographed, if they like it or are maybe a little self conscious. I then find ways to make the experience of being photographed a good one for them while making sure I get photos that they will love.
I've taken photos since I was a child, it's something that I do most days and it's maybe a little like an addiction for me. The process makes me happy as well as the outcome of a great photo or the reaction of someone who has been moved by one of my photos.
When I left university I got a job as an assistant to a commercial photographer in London. It was through working for him that I saw it was possible to make a living out of doing the thing I love. That was 20 years ago and I'm so glad I was inspired to be a freelance photographer. I've travelled the world doing it, met amazing people and I have many thousands of photographs to tell the story!
I've had the privilege and pleasure to take photos of celebrities and friends, I've found value in it all, this is what I love doing. I have a lot of experience taking pictures in many different conditions, locations, lights. I don't think there's any situation that could now confound me. If you want someone who is guaranteed to photographically get the best out of any situation then I believe I'm your best choice.
