We were planning on a dormer loft conversion to turn an unused space into an office.
Since we would only be doing this job once, we wanted to get it right to maximise the use of the space.
We asked Sasha for help.
Our brief was to create an office space for two people, with desks located in the dormer so we could enjoy views out over the sea.
After measuring the space carefully, Sasha created conventional plans and 3D walkthroughs of two options – a budget choice and a more comprehensive one.
I can't express how happy I was to get Sasha involved. She arranged the space in creative and attractive ways that had never even occurred to me.
For instance, she found ways to arrange the room so head height was maximised. Every empty or 'dead' space was efficiently utilised for storage. She also ensured that the dormer was wide enough to accommodate two back-to-back desks and chairs. (It was important, she explained, that we had ample room to roll our chairs back and stand up.)
Frankly, I would never have considered this and was very grateful for this level of detail and consideration.
Sasha showed creativity and passion for her work that is pretty rare, in my experience. With her support and plans, we felt confident to move forward and approach builders with a solid plan that left nothing to chance.
She is a designer with an incredible eye for making spaces work for people.
