I also find it very rewarding working with clients on a weekly basis, sharing my knowledge with them and seeing how their gardens flourish from season to season.
I have always been passionate about flowers and gardening. I had previously worked in education but I began to realise that I loved spending all my free time working in my own garden even in the pouring rain and the dark. I totally transformed my own garden, removing several skip loads of concrete and rubble and created a beautiful cottage garden. Friends and neighbours who visited all said how beautiful it was and so I decided to gain some professional qualifications so that I could do what I love for a living.
One of my clients once told me that I was a 'proper gardener'. By this she meant that I took great care of all the plants in her garden by not stepping on them whilst working in the middle of borders and when weeding, removing the whole weed including roots not just the leaves on show. I do have a great respect for plants and good knowledge regarding their maintenance. My clients consider me to be reliable and trustworthy as I always turn up when I should and am frequently left to work alone.
