What do you love most about your job?

We are huge lovers of all animals and wildlife and have travelled all over the world to enjoy our passion. We've always had a special connection with dogs and cats and love spending time with them. We would love our own dog but have decided not to get one just yet. We're keen walkers and love walking in the surrounding areas of West Bridgford, Gamston and Holme Pierrepont and further afield when we get the chance. Pet sitting allows us to do what we love whilst also working. We also enjoy house sitting because we are both house proud and love to travel and experience new areas.

What inspired you to start your own business?

We both wanted to start a new venture together and now we have the time and flexibility to commit ourselves. Jonathan had a successful business for 8 years and now wants to accomplish the same feat. We're both entrepreneurial and want the freedom to create our own success.

Why should our clients choose you?

We've grown up with dogs and cats all our lives, so we are very experienced. We're 100% reliable, honest, hardworking and caring. We're DBS checked and PDSA Pet First Aid certified. We guarantee to look after your home or pet with as much love and attention as if it were our own! We want to provide a service which achieves the standard we strive for. We understand that your home and pets require a dedicated and loving service.

The price of hiring a dog walker will depend on the area of the UK in which you live, with prices typically higher in the South of England and particularly in London. The cost of hiring a dog walker will often be lower in the North of England and in Scotland and Wales.

The most important thing when you’re hiring a dog walker is that both you and your dog trust them. You should also ensure that your dog walker has public liability insurance that covers them in case of damage, accident or loss. The best way to find a reliable and trustworthy dog walker is by reading reviews of previous clients. When you hire a dog walker through Bark, you can browse the profiles of dog walkers in your local area and read honest reviews from genuine customers.

It is recommended that a dog walker should walk a maximum of four dogs at a time, to enable them to maintain good control of each dog. Most dog walkers will give you the option of having your dog walked alone or with other dogs. Walking with other dogs will help your dog to develop valuable social skills. However, if your dog is reactive, you may prefer for them to be walked alone.
