Marianne puts you at ease the minute you meet her. It took me a long time to pick up the phone and make a definite decision to get a dog walker as I felt I was letting my dog down, however I am so pleased I plucked up the courage to do it as I have a happy dog now and he loves Marianne.
Great service and wonderful communication.

Marianne is such a gentle soul it comes across in the training of my puppy. She didn't just train the pup she also gave us as owners the confidence and know-how to carry on. Would highly recommend Wonderland for puppy training but also helping us owners to train our pups . More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
My photographer would have to answer that one! But I personally think it's a lot about observation and awareness of the space and light.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I need to know about the pet and if they have any special requirements. I want to understand exactly what the client wants and how to properly look after their pet. An animal is never 'just a dog or cat or rabbit' to the owner. They are a big part of their family. I respect and fully understand that bond. For training, I need to know what issues the dog has and what the owner wants to change. For puppy training I need to know the breed and age of the puppy and if the owner has any special requirements.
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new clients and new animals and creating a bond with them. I am happy when I gain the trust of the owners and pets. I like that I can help people to make their pets happy. Happy pets make happy homes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked as a civil servant in criminal Legal aid for 10 years. My work involved seeing all of the sad and terrible things people do to adults, children and animals. When an opportunity arose to take voluntary redundancy I wanted to use my skills to do something positive that would make me happy. Working with people and animals makes me happy.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am a one-man band. I don't have rigid rules about the work that I do. I am very happy to fit around my customers needs. I have clients who work shifts and changing work patterns. They know they can book me for two visits one week, four visits the next week. I am here to make things easier for the customers and the animals, so I am happy to be as flexible as required.
I send daily texts or messages using messenger or whatsapp to let my clients know how their pet is every day.
If I am home-visiting a puppy or an elderly dog, I expect to clean up wee and poo while I am there. If a client wants help or advice I will give it, but I do not interfere, I do not provide unwanted advice and I am not there to judge how clean or tidy a client's home is. I am on the client's side always!
