I picked up the guitar at the age of 8 - and have rarely put it down! After years of "paying my dues" I remember the lightbulb moment in a car park near Spean Bridge in the Scottish Highlands - I realised I could make a living from playing cover songs in pubs and clubs. These led to being asked to play more and more weddings - and now we are the only band to have won both the VOWS and Scottish Wedding Awards - and we still love our job.
We seem to have a fairly unique set of qualities -
male and female lead vocalists;
playing covers, ceilidh dances (with caller) and supplying a disco;
honouring all requests;
being a duo (with a full band sound) we are compact and can keep our costs / prices down;
the only band to win both a VOWS and Scottish Wedding Awards - and regular finalists.
We can Zoom / video chat in advance. We are a live band so the end product has to be us playing in a room to a live audience.
We follow all government guidelines and have an added clause in our contracts promising no charge if the client needs to move their date due to any government COVID restrictions.
