Bill Yelding did an excellent job of removing our old patio and paths on 3 sides of the house and replacing them with Indian sandstone slabs in different sizes and shapes. It looks splendid and we can't wait to show any visitors while singing the praises of Bill and his sons Billy and Luke who helped and all were pleasant to have around. We were impressed by Bill's eye for design and we also liked the hand-pointing of the paving in the traditional way. Can’t rate Bill and Yelding Landscapes highly enough. From giving useful advise during the planning stage to going above and beyond when our supplier let us down, Bill did a great job, with an eye on the detail and would always leave things neat and tidy at the end of the day.

I had been introduced to Yelding Lanscapes through BARK, an online search site that provides a maximum of 5 suitors to fulfil your search. They all provide quotes. This search could be any tradesman. Cleaners, builders, electricians, mechanics etc. This is particularly useful if you don’t have any recommendations or contacts in that field.
I needed an 87 sq meter patio (approx), brick steps and a very small retaining wall. Five tradesmen were interviewed. I went with Bill Yelding in the end. He was competitive, unhurried and had time to explain. He also helped with my selection of slabs.
My builder had left some construction issues making the design and laying of a patio particularly problematic. Bill is the type of chap that was seeking solutions and providing options to give the best and also most aesthetic finish.
The end result was superb! His bricklaying is five stars and the porcelain patio was impeccable. I will confess to being concerned employing a tradesman without a personal recommendation but I needn’t have worried. His work is very precise with the correct gradient for water dispersal and very clean. Bill’s modus operandi is to complete a job before moving on to the next. Benefit to this is that when he commences work, you know he will complete it. One minor downside is that if the weather is particularly bad, if may slightly delay your start date due to the knock on effect from his previous job.

Bill was very helpful throughout the process keeping me informed from start to finish. Bill and his son are tidy, courteous and extremely hard workers. My garden was left tidy and secure every evening.

I would highly recommend Bill, his attention to detail is great, and the finished product looks amazing. Bill installed a sandstone patio and side passage for me, from coming round to quote through the installation of the patio Bill kept me updated on what he was doing and was able to offer great advice on certain aspects such as how to deal with a giant manhole cover we needed to work with. I would highly recommend!
