Q&As

I have always had a passion for working with children. Private tutoring enables me to work 1:1 with each child, seeing excellent progress even after a short time. I enjoy that no 2 sessions are ever the same, and I enjoy catering the learning to the child’s needs and interests.

Being a private tutor, I am able to have the flexibility to cater and plan to the children’s specific needs and interests. I am also able to use the knowledge I have gained working in schools and put it to use in my own practice.

I will ensure that your child gets not only the best tutoring, but also has fun whilst doing so. I aim to build up a strong relationship with the child so that they trust me and will want to work hard. I am able to make lessons fun whilst also educational.

I offer online tuition mainly to children in ks2, as I feel younger learners benefit more from face to face sessions. I offer this service via Zoom

Services

I have worked for 4 years in a local primary school as an EYFS teacher. Having qualified 4 years ago, I am up to date with the necessary training needed to provide the best education to children. I hold a degree in Primary Education (with QTS). I specialise in early childhood and I excel in teaching reception, year 1 & year 2 aged children.
Before qualifying, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for 6 years. I have experience in most year groups therefore I have great knowledge of the end of year expectations for a wide range of year groups. I am familiar with the curriculum for all year groups in the primary setting, however EYFS and KS1 are where I pride myself on being extremely confident and knowledgeable. I am trained in a range of phonics schemes and thoroughly enjoy teaching these.
I believe the most important aspect of teaching is building a great relationship with the children. I am very calm and patient, I am quick to think on my feet and I am adaptable and can change my style of teaching to suit the needs of the children. I make learning engaging and fun (especially for the younger learners), providing games and different activities to ensure the children are learning alongside having fun! I also ensure younger learners have regular quick brain breaks to keep them engaged!
