Driveway Installation
Highest quote we got but went with them because he promised the earth and they could start soon . Quote for £14000 went up by £1000 by time he started. Did reasonable job on laying patios and path but could have paid more attention when choosing edges for steps and used some with damage for front steps and undamaged at rear. Main issue we had was with coming too late to lay sma in Oct which meant it had gone cold by time they were finishing using my car headlights. Cut out the worst piece and replaced but of course there is an obvious join that he promised wouldn’t be visible. Then wanted another £1000 to apply a sealant so join wouldn’t be seen . We made mistake of settling outstanding balance before seeing finished work in daylight which to be honest we would not do again . Would not recommend him as was not prepared to accept responsibility for any mistakes made or to compensate us for work not to standard expected for a job costing over £15000 when we had already paid £3000 for materials.
