A great website is simple, clear and makes the user feel comfortable. Easy navigation is key as is having a clear mission so customers can easily engage with your website to locate the product, service or contact information they require. Over complex sites often result in less purchases or contacts.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
The most important question is what do you need to achieve by the work we are undertaking. for example, do you need your laptop to run faster? do you need more sales or leads from your website? We'll also ask what timescales are needed to be adhered to and if there are any additional requirements so we can offer the best possible service.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety! In IT every day is different. There's always a new challenge and that keeps IT interesting and engaging.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having run a previous business for 15 years and then moving into the public sector I've been keen to get back to helping local businesses and home users. I've always felt that you give the best service when you're doing for yourself rather than someone else.
