Applied to Warma to help my 95 year old mother to have central heating installed as she did have storage heaters that were costing a fortune. The installer did a fantastic job and Warma UK processed our application for an Eco Grant from the government.There was a fair bit of paperwork to complete that took a while but we were so pleased that the full cost of the installation was returned to my mother.I would definitely encourage people to apply to Warma UK if you are eligible, which they will check for you.For once, not a scam! but an option for those in need of help . So happy with warma uk. My daughter told me about the free Central heating if on benifits I said really I've been so cold. They done everything so quickly only took 1 month start to finish, 3 days to Install . Didn't have to pay anything. My landlord happy as he knows someone who would benifits too. . Started the process with warma for a new boiler, everything signed and sealed, a direct debit set up and they agreed a surveyor would come on Monday (it was Thursday at the time) with looking to install later that week as we have no working heating at the moment. It is still now the Sunday after they said a surveyor would come to us and we still don’t even have a date of when someone is supposed to come out, they want to start taking payments in a weeks time and we have no boiler still.. Stay away from Warma UK government boiler scheme! Absolute Con ! Extreme pressure sales hiding terms and conditions in application process ! I contacted them before Xmas for a ‘quote’ they hid the contract with initial application forms advising was to verify my benefits. Cancelled survey as delay tactic, never provided a full written quote, but wanting to charge over £1200 what I was quoted locally for a low quality boiler with only 2 years warranty. Tried to book me in on next day installation before I had seen the credit agreement originally quoted interest free that ended up being 35% per annum! They then try and force next day installation refusing a 14 day cooling off period and stating they will charge a cancellation fee as I signed a contract before I even had a survey or quote from them or had my application processed! To be honest, I thought the whole process was going to be hard and long but it wasn't. They were very professional, very helpful. I thought because of the pandemic things were going to be slow but I was wrong. After signing all the paper work, I had a home visit, the gentleman was very professional, explain everything to me. He explained what was going to happen next and so on. He said it was going to take a few weeks to get the heaters and the boiler installed but guess what, it took a few days, which I was over the moon. The gentleman who came to install the heaters and the boiler was very professional. It was a huge job, but he done everything by himself. Living with poor quality inefficient storage heaters was terrible, but being on medical benefits and in a rented property, there was nothing I could do but put up with the situation. Getting the grant and central heating installed through Warma UK has been a lifeline for me. I now have radiator heat in every room instead of just the living room and hallway. The whole process was straightforward and only took a few months. Given we are living through such tough conditions, it was amazing that everything could come together so quickly.
