Tim has been helping me since October 2018. I am studying for A levels and Tim helps me with Biology, Maths and Chemistry. He is very flexible and willing to go through whichever subject I need help with at the time. Tim is patient, approachable and very knowledgeable, I was a bit unsure about Skype to start with but met with Tim in person to make sure that he was someone that I could work with and visa versa and to discuss what I was working towards and what I would like to gain from our lessons. Skype has been brilliant as it is convenient for both of us, especially as sometimes when I get in I would struggle to get to a lesson on time if I had to travel to get there and this way I don't forget anything. What do you love most about your job?
I find it very satisfying to help my students to be the best they can be!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I trained as a tutor at the Effective Education Centre (EEC) in East Grinstead in 2007, and since then, I've been tutoring Maths, Science and English, both at the EEC and privately, for ages 5 to 50. However, I mostly help teenagers with their SATs, Entrance Exams, GCSEs and A Levels.
I started off just tutoring GCSEs, but due to the great demand for A Level tutoring, I revised (by tutoring myself in) the subjects I did for A Level and started tutoring them too. I can now get better grades in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology A Level exams than I could get when I was at school. This shows what a great tutor I am!

This means that I can potentially cover a different subject each week, or I can do two hours a week and cover a different subject in each hour. Therefore you don't have to find a separate tutor for each subject, or leave your child without the valuable one-to-one support in any of the core subjects. And I teach these subjects from about age 10 upto the end of A Levels, so I give my students stability and continuity through all of those most stressful years of study.

Yes, I deliver a few hundred hours of online tutoring each year, and with the help of screen-sharing, document-sharing and web whiteboards, where we can both write or draw on any webpage or other image, I find that it's virtually comparable to face-to-face tutoring.
For online lessons I use (in order of preference) Google Meet, Zoom and Skype.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Thankfully, this is no longer relevant. But apparently, they still need my answer to be at least 50 characters long.
