It’s not always dramatic or fast—but the quiet moments of self-understanding, of someone realizing they matter, are powerful.

I get to hold space for people as they untangle old narratives, explore who they are beyond coping, and start living with more choice. It’s deeply human work.

Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher. I loved working with young people, but I often found myself wanting to support them beyond the academic. I could see when they were struggling emotionally, but I didn’t feel equipped to help in the ways I wanted to.

That’s what led me to counselling. I wanted to create a space where emotional literacy, self-awareness, and healing were central—not secondary. Now, as a therapist, I get to offer that kind of support every day—and it feels like the right fit.

Because I truly believe that every person deserves to be met with respect, compassion, and care—no matter their background or life story.

I work with people from all walks of life, and I hold space without judgment. My role isn’t to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you, to listen deeply, and to help you make sense of what you’re carrying.

I bring openness, empathy, and curiosity into the room—so you can bring your full self, without needing to shrink or explain parts of who you are.

Currently providing therapy via remote sessions whilst my office is being renovated.

Working remotely helps to keep those at risk safe.

Tia Coakley is a qualified integrative therapist, combining Gestalt Therapy, Psychodynamic Theory, and Person-Centred Therapy. This blend focuses on enhancing self-awareness, exploring past experiences, and fostering a strong therapeutic relationship to support personal growth.​

Session Options:

Free 10-Minute Consultation: An informal conversation to discuss your needs and determine if the therapeutic relationship is a good fit.

Full Session (50 minutes): In-depth sessions, available online or in-person, aimed at processing thoughts, feelings, and behaviour patterns.

Half Session: Short-term sessions focusing on developing a tailored plan to achieve specific personal goals.​
