Ky at Ankrah was fantastic - we hired him to photograph our wedding and he did such a great job of getting photos of us and all of our guests. Our wedding venue cancelled on us 4 weeks before the wedding, and Ky's flexibility and willingness to work around this whole disaster with us was much appreciated. What do you love most about your job?
Honestly, it’s the little in-between moments. The way someone laughs just after the formal pose, or how a glance between two people can say more than words ever could. I love that my job lets me chase those fleeting, beautiful seconds and freeze them so they can be felt forever.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my own business because I wanted my work to feel personal: not just for me, but for the people I photograph. I wanted the freedom to slow down, to notice the details that make each story unique, and to give every couple my full attention without the constraints of someone else’s system. It means when you work with me, you’re not getting a production line; you’re getting someone fully invested in capturing your day in a way that’s true to you.
