I started during Covid, I am a deputy head of Maths at a secondary school in Wiltshire with 15 years experience teaching and over 20 years experience coaching sports.

During Covid many of my students became frustrated watching help videos on various learning platforms. So I decided to create some of my own which focussed in on using simple language that was easy to follow and went through how they would have been shown if they were still in the classroom.

From doing these videos and posting them online I was offered opportunities to create for some larger companies which I eventually turned down. This was not because I didn't enjoy doing them, but because they would not be very adaptive and I enjoy getting to know how the student thinks and learns best. This helps us to make better and lasting progress.

I value a personalised session with a student so that is tailored to their needs and is what they want the session to be and try to link the maths to their interests so that they see the relevance and engage more with the subject.
