What do you love most about your job?
I love that I can really get to know the animals who are in my care and know that I am giving them the love and attention I would expect another person to give to my own, if they were looking after them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After over 5 years working in a busy dog grooming salon as a manager, I sadly had to give up due to a back injury. Moving to another industry made me realise I really missed the animal interaction so towards the end of my maternity leave after having my daughter, I decided to set up The Kath's Whiskers.

Dog walking
I offer 30 or 60 minute solo or same household dog walks and 60 minute group walks. Price start from £11 per dog for group walks, dependent on location, and from £13 for a 30 minute solo walk. I can be flexible with your dogs walking schedule, perfect if you are a shift worker, and offer early morning, evening and weekend walks at no extra cost.
Pet sitting
I offer 15 and 30 minute drop in visits for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, fish and chickens. A 15 minute express visit is from £10, perfect for if you are only away for a night or 2 and will include feeding, changing water and cleaning litter trays. A 30 minute visit is from £13 and includes the above plus more time for cuddles and playtime.
