The Bridgeman Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre has been proudly treating the people of Wigan and beyond since 1981. The clinic is currently owned and run by Susan Capstick who has worked here since 2001, taking over in 2010.
All our Physiotherapists are fully trained and registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professionals Council), members of the CSP Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Physio First and The AACP –Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists;

Physiotherapy Treatments available in Wigan. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy incorporates an in-depth assessment and diagnosis, followed by a wide range of techniques and treatments designed to reduce or eliminate pain in the muscles, bones, joints or soft tissue areas of the body, whether caused by injury or degeneration.

Acupuncture is one of the many skills used within physiotherapy as an integrated approach to the management of pain and inflammation and as a means of stimulating the body’s own healing chemicals in order to aid recovery and enhance rehabilitation and offers an effective treatment.

Our physios are trained to identify and treat sports injuries, some even have a sports therapy back grounds before qualifying as a physiotherapist. Whatever level the patient plays sport to, our physiotherapists can guide patients back to completing their sport to their pre-injury level with a full treatment package.

There are many research studies that suggest that acupuncture may help in various areas relating to fertility, conception and pregnancy. Cranio Sacral Therapy (CST) is a hands-on therapy, where the light touch is gentle, non-invasive and very subtle and affects the central nervous system.
