Ter Hoeven Design

We have now been working with Tanya and Bernard for many months, and we couldn’t be happier.
We started by asking them for help with interior design ideas for several rooms, and their creativity and ingenuity was invaluable, as were their detailed visualisations, which they patiently iterated many times for us. They spent a great deal of time and energy researching furniture pieces, fabrics and lighting ideas to bring our rooms to life, and the result is simply breathtaking. Bernard is also a talented bespoke furniture maker, and we have already had him fit custom oak skirting boards, radiator cover, TV wall panelling, curtain pelmet and fitted wardrobe doors, each piece carefully designed to match the room’s style and history; so impressed were we with the extremely high quality of work, and the reasonable pricing, that we have also now commissioned bespoke understairs wine storage too. The living area of our open space on the ground floor was in need of a design rethink and refurbishment due to the purchase of a new sofa.
As a result of Ter Hoeven Design’s work, we have a wonderful room with a cosy corner around the wood-burning stove, where we enjoy evening family gatherings.
Two armchairs designed by Bernard not only fit into the existing furniture ensemble, but also united its separate parts.
This is not the first time this team has helped us in our projects, and we are, as before, very satisfied. Looking forward to doing a new project together. More...

We faced the difficult task of turning our 1-bedroom apartment into a 2-bedroom apartment, one for the adults and one for a 3-year-old child, with the prospect of a second baby.

Thanks to Ter Hoeven Design, this became an exciting process for us. We discussed layout options, where Tanya and Bernard found different ways to interpret our ideas. Each of the 3 plans presented to us had its advantages, we just had to choose what we liked the most.

We then went through the mood boards for each room to make sure we had chosen the right style and colour palette and see if the design concept worked for us.

Finally, we received beautifully realistic pictures including the furniture and décor, which was similar to that included in the shopping list compiled by our designers.
