After using and not really learning much using apps like Duolingo I have been looking into getting Japanese lessons for a while now and never quite worked up to doing it. I was bought lessons for Christmas and I am couldn't be happier about it. Jenny was recommended by a friend who is also taking lessons and I can see why. She is very friendly and is good at tailoring the lessons to your level. She introduces things at a good pace and will reviews your learning at regualr intervals to make sure you have understood and not forgotten previous lessons. She uses fun and easy to remember images where possible to make it easier to learn. She obviously has a deep understanding of the subject and I can see the lessons carrying on until I am fluent. Jenny is also very flexible. I work fairly long hours and she has made time for me fairly late in the evening to accomodate this which is very much appreciated. Jenny has lived experience in Japan which I find very helpful as she can put what is being learnt into context which helps a lot. It also means you get to learn more about the Japanese culture and customs which in itself is interesting and something you do not get from learning in the apps. I would happily recommend Jenny to anyone who is looking to learn Japanese. More...

I wanted to buy a block of lessons for Christmas so it was all very sketchy on what times would work best for my husband, how he would get on etc etc. Jenny was friendly, understanding, helpful and honestly amazing. She helped me pick out accompanying gifts that would compliment his learning. Available to answer questions any time I asked. My husband got in touch with her to organise lessons. He hates talking on the phone and can be awkward with people he doesn't know. Jenny out him completely at ease from day 1. He is now making great progress and absolutely loves his lessons.
