I'd never been to a nutritionist before so wasn't sure what to expect, I was nervous and thought all my habits and diet would be disregarded and I'd have to start eating things I'd hate, but I was prepared to change if that's what it took. I suffer PCOS and with that comes a lot of symptoms, irregular cycles, bloating, cravings, constantly exhausted, and incredibly difficult to shift weight off, to name a few. I started working with Daisy after I was experiencing some symptoms of hormonal imbalance. I was tired, sluggish, bloated, was struggling with sleeping and was experiencing very heavy and long periods. I was feeling pretty low. I had seen my gp and a homepath with little effect. I knew I needed help so I contacted Daisy. Daisy listened to my symptoms and took what I was saying seriously and didn’t try to belittle me like the gp did. On our first consultation, she gave me 3 changes to put in place. Then after each consultation we would discuss the progress and my symptoms and then build upon the previous meeting. The changes were all realistic and the goals set were all targeted and within reach. Within 6 weeks I was feeling much better, the bloating and night sweats had gone and I had much more energy. By the end my periods were normal and my cycles were every 28 days, which had not been the case for years. I feel so much more energised. Before I started working with Daisy I had a fairly decent knowledge of health and fitness but I felt that I had lost my way in applying it all to my life. I approached Daisy when I was struggling with certain foods causing me to get stomach pains and reactions. This was a very frustrating time for me and would affect my every day life, as never knew when my stomach would react. At my initial consultation Daisy made me feel at ease and recommended me getting my gut tested. I came away excited at working with her and looking forward to the changes ahead. I am pretty well versed in nutrition and wellbeing but my knowledge pales in comparison to Daisys!
I come from a family with a poor history relating to digestive issues so decided to follow her advice and in particular the probiotics that she recommended. I'm really not the best at taking supplements consistently but Daisy was gently persuasive and I'm so glad she was! I've been taking them daily for just over 3 months and the results have been fantastic! I feel that my immunity is so much better.
