Anthony was reassuringly very knowledgable about both the range of EV chargers on the market, and also the changes we needed to make to allow the installation. He was the only installer to have pointed out at the time of quotation that we'd need to upgrade the meter and uprate the fuse as ours dated back to 1975! We had Swytch- Ev Charger Installers in March (sorry I haven’t got round to doing this sooner!) they were amazing! We were let down by another company and in all honestly really wish we had discovered them before! We didn’t have a home charger for 2 weeks after getting our EV and we explained the situation to them and they were round that evening (lovely professional people!) and installed a week later! First Class Service. Anthony and his partner David did an excellent job. They arrived on time at 9am and were finished by 2pm. Our EV Charger was installed in the garage; approximately 30 metres from the consumer unit. Although an electrician by trade, David did the manual work. Which comprised in the main; lifting and replacing block paving to facilitate the cable. On enquiring as to why he had drawn the short straw, he enlightened me by saying he was a self taught builder. So, clearly as a team, they knitted in perfectly! Both gentlemen were extremely courteous and friendly and Anthony bent over backwards to advise me on the technical aspects of the product. When you look for a EV charger installation online, you get bombarded with soulless middlemen touting for your business. So when Sophie picked up the phone to answer my questions rather than texting or emailing, it was a no brainer. She discussed the options, timelines and costs. All very easy and clear. Anthony turned up on the date requested, complimented me on my coffee, got wet in the rain and gave me purchasing advice for a robotic lawn mower as well!. We had a Thermino heat battery installed by Swytch. We were very happy with punctuality when carrying out the initial survey and site work. The quality of the installation work was good and the two guys worked quietly, efficiently and cleanly. The only downside is that we found a box of site rubbish on our drive after they had left. I recently arranged installation of a Hive EV charger through Swytch (as they are officially approved to do these - not everyone is). The price quoted was very reasonable for the works undertaken. It was very easy to arrange - I supplied photographs of the current layout and electricals and Anthony telephoned to discuss the various options and explained everything in detail. The work done was excellent - clean, tidy, efficient - and Anthony was a pleasure to work with. From the initial conversation all the way through to the installation he kept us informed and asked us about options without making any assumptions. The installation work was some of the best I've ever seen in hiding any cables and making sure that he was problem-solving for our rather challenging install.
