What’s your interior design process?
Contact us for your initial free of charge consultation. Working together, we will discuss your brief to understand the requirements, budget and lead times. Following our initial consultation, Studio Smiths will develop an initial proposal, including visual mood boards, interior specifications and project cost estimate, after the initial proposal we will arrange a site visit if necessary to see the space, take note of any existing finishes, assess the access and measure up the property. The design proposal will be further developed and presented to you and will include technical drawings, a finalised inventory, mood boards and quotation for sign-off. Using our vast network of suppliers we will procure the product(s) and undertake quality checks prior to delivery. Studio Smiths project manage the entire process for you if required. Studio Smiths team will oversee the delivery and installation ensuring no details are missed! If required, Studio Smiths are able to provide an in-house photography service.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
We cater to a range of clients and believe that good design is based upon the individual project requirements and clients needs rather than a house style that is replicated again and again. We would say we have a contemporary eye, however we have worked in period properties where a more classical style is required.
What do you love most about your job?
We love design and the impact it can have on peoples lives. It is truly satisfying when a space is totally transformed and you can see clients benefiting in their day to day lives from it. Good design should enhance moods, lives and improve property sale prices too. After being in the industry for 20 years both in London and Australia, every project is so different which keeps every day feeling like a new and exciting challenge.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After working together on a luxury townhouse in London, we found that not only did we agree on every aspect of the project process but we also had the same dream of running our own business. This formed Studio Smiths and we've never looked back since.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have precautions in place to ensure customers are safe from Covid-19. If a site visit is required, a designer will wear a mask and socially distance whilst measuring up.
