What’s your interior design process?
Our Process.
The Brief - Outline key requirements, fee proposal issued, estimated FF&E budget and timeline.
Concept Design - Concept presentation, proposed floor plans and furniture layouts, finishes, furniture and joinery concepts.
Detailed Design - Detailed design presentation, technical drawings, furniture, finishes and joinery confirmed. Fully itemised breakdown of costs issued.
Procurement - Procure, store and quality check, liaising with tradespeople and suppliers for seamless deliveries.
Installation - Trusted installation team, bespoke joinery installed, turn-key styling, curating artwork and accessories. Client handover.
A project’s scope is flexible based on our client’s needs and resources. Our projects range from singular rooms to large scale developments and everything in between.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
Each project is unique and considered, Studio Burntwood therefore does not have a 'set style'.
What do you love most about your job?
Mostly, collaborating with clients, discovering new and unique suppliers and artists, and finally, handing over the finalised project to the client and experiencing the space transformed.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having completed a BCs Honours in Marketing, Melissa took the leap to leave her Marketing career in one of the largest media agencies in London to attend the prestigious KLC School of Design in Chelsea, where she studied a BA Honours Degree in Interior Design.
Since then she has honed her design skills by working with some of London’s most respected Interior Design studios, leading on multiple high-end projects for private clients and property developers for numerous years.
Designing some of London’s most prestigious developments, townhouses and penthouse apartments, in locations such as Chelsea, Belgravia and Mayfair.
Understanding the need for authentic, individualist designs, Studio Burntwood was created.

Procurement
Quality checked, stored and delivered by our trusted installation team. We continuously attend site meetings, liaise with tradespeople and suppliers for a seamlessly executed space, ready to be enjoyed.
Bespoke Joinery
With an eye for detail and absolute quality, Studio Burntwood collaborates with a group of highly talented joiners to create timeless pieces, with each detail being considered including finishes, ironmongery and lighting.
Furniture and Fittings
Working with both private clients and property developers, our furniture, fittings and equipment package can elevate a space without any architectural elements being changed.
With a wealth of experience designing bespoke furniture, lighting, sourcing artwork and upholstery, we work in tandem with highly skilled craftspeople and artists to create exceptional schemes that are effective, functional and mindful of budgets.
Turn-Key Styling
A multi-layered approach, with carefully considered pieces of accessories, art and soft finishes which enrich an interior and give that final touch to each project.
Every detail is considered to embellish the space and embody the clients individuality (it’s our ethos). Alongside private residential clients we also work closely with photographers on branded photoshoots.
