We recently had the bottom of our garden redone to make the space more aesthetically pleasing, usable, and to accommodate a structure in the future, which would require either very specifically located concrete footing, or a concrete slab. To have something that didn't just like a slab of concrete we looked into stamped or imprinted concrete, out of four potential landscapers Stonecoat was the only one that not only looked at the project as a whole thinking about ensuring the surrounding areas would also look good, but suggested an alternative to stamped concrete, resin bound, something we had considered for our driveway, but not for this. We liked Gus' approach, honesty, and price (which was in the middle range of of the quotes we recieved). He was also able to fit us in quite quickly and get the job done. Prior to work starting I had a concern with drainage which Gus Assured would be fine. This concern continued until the concrete was poured and it was porous concrete and not smooth as I expected. This was a bit of misunderstanding on my part but we trusted Gus and it seems well placed. When on site the lads were great, hard working and respectful of our property. Just keep them supplied with biscuits and they will do a great job. We had to choose our resin colours, this was particularly difficult as there weren't any physical samples and can look very different in photos. Even the resin installers had limited installation photos of the colours we were looking for. So if you are thinking resin, it is worth hunting down locations with samples to see beforehand. Job in the end took about a week, to clear and excavation of the area, laying of a porous concrete slab, a resin topper, edged in a combination of curb stones and sleepers. We also had a bare patch returfed. The resin and concrete surface looks great, and covers us to add a structure in the future, and even with recent rain has not had any issue with drainage. The final result was cured and usable within a couple of days of completion, surface is nicely smooth, though we have noticed a few small bumps or dips where they didn't get the resin perfectly smooth, nothing that would impact our use. The new turf looks great, currently also a bit bumpy but that will take some time to bed in. Are we happy with the work done, yes. Would we consider Stonecoat again for future projects (garden or driveway), absolutely. More...

We had our front garden and entry redesigned by Gus years ago and also a smaller job with our porch flooring. The results were EXCELLENT. Recently we were let down by another company relating to a water leak and called Gus to help us to restore the tarmac entry and basically put it back to its best in terms of the tarmac and brick patterns. Well we have not been disappointed. The three guys came today and did an excellent job as always. Friendly, professional, and an excellent end product.
