I am a Child Psychotherapist with seven years of experience. I currently have private practice from my consulting room in Wye nr Ashford in Kent. I am also the lead psychotherapist at a local secondary school. I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust which is world renowned for its focus on children’s mental health. Sometimes life can be tough and worries can become too much for children, young people and the adults in their lives. A child and adolescent trained psychotherapist can listen carefully and think together with each person to help make sense of the difficulties. Research suggests that psychotherapy has longer term effects and that even when you finish you will have a memory of your therapy and your therapist which does not go away. Psychotherapy is not just about clearing up symptoms but is concerned with overall long term development for all.
