I wanted to find a gardener who knew something about plants and how to look after them and my garden rather than someone who needed to fill their day and earn a bit of money but didn't actually know much about the care of plants. So I'm delighted to have found Steve. He came to see the garden and have a chat about what I wanted to achieve and today he came and started working on it. He arrived early and immediately started using his initiative to sort out shrubs and plants without me having to instruct him. He's clearly very knowledgeable about plants and what needs to be done and I was very impressed at how hard he works which he does in a methodical manner, leaving the area neat and tidy at the end of his time. I'm absolutely delighted with what he's done and so pleased I've finally found someone who I know will be trustworthy, hard working, has a huge knowledge of garden plants and I know will just get on with maintaining my garden without me having to worry about organising him. We recently had Steve to tidy up our front garden area . It’s an area we never seem to get around to sorting out ourselves and I have to be honest we are not gardeners! . I came across Steve on our local Facebook page . We arranged for Steve to come and have a look to see if he could help us . He turned up when he said he would and chatted with me about the area we wanted tending to , giving me advice on what he would suggest to bring this area back to life . I found Steve very friendly and booked him in to start . The morning of day he said he would come he turned up as agreed and basically cracked on with the job . What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people make the most of their outside space, whether that be by helping with garden maintenance in general or giving advice to improve the look and feel of that space through planting and borders. I want to help my clients have a relaxing outdoor environment that they want to spend time in and that they can be proud of.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love for gardening began when I was young, helping my grandparents tend to their gardens. I have worked in the horticultural industry for over 20 years and feel that I have the necessary skills and knowledge to really make a difference to my client’s gardens.
