Was completely at ease all day having been told, 'leave it to me' when we had SPHO at our annual Golf Day taking team photographs, action photographs at various locations around the course and drone footage of all groups during their rounds. By the end of lunch we were handing out QR codes for our guests to look at all the images and footage. Truly exceptional service. More...

We’ve had the pleasure of working with SPHO on several occasions, and their service has been exceptional. Their professionalism in understanding our requirements has been second to none, and the quality of their equipment has enabled us to capture the footage and content we’ve long wanted for our marketing efforts but couldn’t achieve before.

We highly recommend SPHO for their drone and photography services!

Q&As

Somebody far more skilled than me once said: " The single most important component of a camera is the twelve inches behind it". That's great advice, the thought, preparation and understanding the clients' needs are crucially important before you even pick up a camera.

I believe many people have the shot they want already in their head. They see a picture and the trick is to ask questions that allow you to unlock that image and allow them to share it with you. In practical terms, the timescale that we need to work to and any limitations to access or availability is also top of my list.

For me, the variety is the top thing. One day taking pictures of a family business opening a new office, next day RAF fighters and then pictures of someone's special occasion. Having access to occasions and locations not often available to non-invitees is always a thrill.

Freedom! I've developed my photography onto a more 'formal' business basis since I became self-employed. The ability to earn money to pay the bills via my established career path allowed me to push on from a position based around many years of doing the odd session for friends and family. The next natural step was to formalise that and make it part of my business, so now I have the luxury to have 'two-sides' to what I do to earn a living.

They shouldn't......unless they feel comfortable with me and my approach to a project. An initial chat to talk things through before they want to commit to anyone working with them is by far the best way for people to tell who they can work with easily and will get the most productive outcome.
