Nothing but wonderful things to say about Ian. He confirmed our appt the day before, took time to understand what I wanted from my tree shaping. He is more a tree artist and sculptor than just a guy with shears. He takes time to look at the shape of your tree, and how it fits within your outdoor space as well as what you’re poking for. Ian was prompt in communicating, gave a great quote and a date locked in within a few simple, concise messages back and forth. He came two days later to cut down a 5 metre tree in our backyard and cut down two smaller maples and trim hedges and a smaller tree back. Ian arrived bang on time, was efficient and did an amazing job - all in an impressive turnaround. Okay - so. There are people who call themselves tree surgeons, but they are really more like tree butchers, who make you feel you wish you had never hired them. ..and then there are Tree ARTISTS, who know exactly how to sympathetically prune, reduce and shape your trees, without making it look like somebody had their chainsaw possessed by the devil, and hacked the thing to all hell.

Ian is definitely a tree ARTIST, and he is a Master. We had this MASSIVE overgrown Elder and every time we have had it cut back by other tree surgeons, it looked terrible. Ian however, made the tree look fantastic, and now really appropriately sized for our garden!

Not only this, Ian, on his own time visited the property multiple times leading up to the day of the job, to check if there were no more birds in the tree and therefore safe to proceed without harming the wildlife. Ian even arranged all the parking himself.
