My daughter was finding her A Level chemistry tricks and then we discovered Zac! He’s given Martha so much more confidence and she’s now predicted an A in A level chemistry which is fantastic. Spark Academy Tutoring have been superb for my daughter during her final year of her GCSE’s. She has been working with Amy for English and Zac for Science. Amy has really helped my daughter to construct her answers for Lit and Lang to ensure the maximum marks are achieved, she’s really got to understand my daughter and how she works to make the most of their hour together. I get feedback from Amy every week with an update on what they have done and tips for daughter to consider moving forward. Zac has made science fun!! My daughter has a number of additional learning needs and has had a really good experience with Spark Academy. She accesses the learning via an EOTAS package which is overseen by the local authority because she has an EHCP. Becky runs the academy very efficiently and has always been there whenever we have had concerns or queries. She has been very flexible in her approach which has meant that my daughter's re-integration back into learning has been a positive one that is working for her. Becky is very friendly and personable and has made the whole experience really smooth. My daughter has two tutors, Jackie and Zuha. Both of whom are incredibly receptive to my daughter's needs. What do you love most about your job?
I love helping increase children's confidence and resilience. Helping them make rapid progress through 1-1 tutoring is so rewarding. I also love creating close relationships with the families of the students I tutor.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to create a tutoring business that puts the children at the centre of what we do. Offering affordable, bespoke support to child to enable them to reach their full potential whilst becoming more confident, resilient and independent.

Education Other Than at School
At Spark Academy, we specialise in delivering EOTAS (Education Other Than at School) packages through our team of experienced, fully qualified teachers. Each of our tutors brings a wealth of expertise in working with children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), as well as those with medical conditions, mental health challenges, or who have experienced trauma.
We are able to provide advice and guidance as to whether we feel we would be able to meet your child's needs effectively. This would be done through having a conversation with yourself and also through looking at your child's EHCP If they have one. Following this we would draft an EOTAS proposal which would then be submitted to the local authority.
Every EOTAS package we provide is completely bespoke, carefully designed to meet the unique needs of your child. From curriculum content to the delivery method, we tailor every aspect to ensure that your child receives the best possible support and education. At Spark Academy, the child is always at the heart of our decision-making, and their well-being and progress remain our top priority.
Group Online Tutoring Classes
We offer online group classes in core subjects: Maths, Reading, and Writing. These classes are carefully designed to cover key content from the National Curriculum, ensuring that your child builds a strong foundation in essential skills.
Each course runs for 6 to 8 weeks, providing structured, focused learning in small, supportive groups. Classes are taught by a qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), who also holds a full DBS check for your peace of mind.
Our sessions are delivered through the Zoom platform, making them easily accessible from anywhere. Whether your child is learning at home, on the go, or in a remote location, they can join the class and fully engage in the lessons.
By participating in our group classes, your child will benefit from interacting with peers, gaining confidence, and making steady progress in a collaborative and encouraging online learning environment.
