Came to quote for lleylandi cutting back but after discussion decided to have them removed and fence put up. Did the job there and then (for a four figure sum) but would not quote for fencing until trees out and could measure easier. Unfortunately we then felt we had no option than to go ahead with the fence to include a gate between us and our neighbour due to the very open span of the two gardens (the price for this work was almost x3 amount already paid) and they were unable to clear up due to forgetting the leaf blower!

Tbf they returned next day and fence was erected very quickly considering the tree stumps albeit almost a foot inside our boundary! Then convinced us we didn’t need a gate whereupon Thomas requested payment as he had to leave but the team would remain and clean up. It became apparent afterwards that this consisted in blowing the debris up against our neighbour’s fence!!

Later that evening I called Thomas and said we had changed our mind about gate (which we had been charged for) due to the fence looking unfinished and both ours and our neighbour’s patio having been carved up in readiness (see photos). They are an amazing family business: the three man team worked efficiently and very professionally. They completely reshaped our long tall thick holly hedge to perfection and then we roped them into severely pruning our ancient apple and pear trees, neglected for thirty years!
