5 Star service all-round, from the initial visit for the quotation to the final fitting of the Boiler. The initial visit by Nick was executed in a very professional manner. I was shown a choice of boilers and a detailed explanation as to which one he thought would suite best. I researched the options myself online and found his suggestion did indeed suite what I was after. The quotation duly arrived with a single final cost for the job. However, the quote went into detail and covered all the aspects of the job we had discussed, there were going to be no surprise additions at the end. On the day of installation the new boiler arrived first thing and the guys not long after. They worked tirelessly through the day and had the job finished by late afternoon. Slater Plumbing and Heating installed a combi boiler to replace our 24 year old conventional boiler in the loft of the Scout Hut. The new boiler was a little larger than the old one so the boiler had to be relocated and a new vent hole in the brick wall had to be core drilled out. Spoke with Nick Slater at the end of February, described the jobs to be done and told him we would like the work done by April 16. We agreed a date of 28 March for the appointment. On 26 March I mailed Slater a brief description of the work needed with a postcode and address for his men to use. On the morning of the 28th I got a call from his team asking where my house was because they had not been given directions. On arrival I described the work needed again, only to be told that they could not do the work because Slater had told to just get information for a quote and given them another job to do on that day. I called Slater later that day and on 4 other occasions, got no answer but left voice and email messages to ask him to call back to arrange a date for the work. No callback ever received. No quote has been ever issued. This is the worst experience of customer service I have ever received from a business of any type. I will let you form your own judgements. More...
