What do you love most about your job?
Quite simply seeing the progression that my students make has got to be the thing I love about what I do the most.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been playing the guitar for a long time now and I never would have thought that I would teach it. But I got pestered to teach by a couple of people at my old job and I was reluctant to do it. But my word, I'm so pleased I eventually did!!
It's the best thing I've ever done.
Why should our clients choose you?
The main thing I like the students to do is to have fun with it all. There's nothing worse than practising the guitar and me showing them the skills if they don't enjoy it.
There's quite a bit of difference between playing the guitar and actually teaching it. Approx 12 years ago, I started to learn from a professional guitar teacher in the US on 'How' to teach and not just play the guitar. Without that tutelage, I wouldn't have the skills necessary to do what I do today.

Yes. Not only do I teach from my purpose-built studio, but I also offer remote lessons via Skype and Zoom.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I have 5 minutes gap in between each lesson so that enables me to clean around before the next lesson.
My studio is fully air-conditioned and I also keep the chairs 2 meters apart.
One to One Guitar Lessons
My name is Scott and I have been playing guitar since my early teens. I then progressed into the wonderful world of teaching the guitar and I have been providing guitar lessons in Hull for the last 10 years or so.
Everything from beginners to advanced players and from acoustic to rock and metal. My ultimate goal is to teach you the necessary guitar skills needed to be able to enjoy this fabulous instrument and to get you there in the fastest possible time.
I teach everyone from the age of 5 and no limit beyond that!
I am fully DBS checked.
