We enjoy the variety. Every project is different — one day it’s sleek jewellery on a clean white backdrop, the next it’s artisan food styled in a rustic kitchen. That variety keeps our creativity fresh.

We love collaborating with clients. Hearing the story behind a product and then translating that into visuals that reflect their brand is a rewarding challenge.

We wanted to create a studio space where businesses could access high-quality photography without the intimidating atmosphere you sometimes find. Silkwood Studios was built to be creative, collaborative and welcoming.

The inspiration came from a love of storytelling through images. We saw how powerful good photography could be for brands and wanted to help local businesses present their products in the best possible light.

We’d spent years working in the industry and realised there was a gap for a flexible, professional studio just outside Leeds. Opening Silkwood Studios was a way to combine technical expertise with a genuine passion for helping clients grow.

At heart, it was about independence and creativity — building something of our own where we could shape the experience for clients and really invest in their success.

We specialise in product photography where the client send us their products, we shoot them to a very high standard then return with the images.
