I used Simon Doherty to repair the bathroom roof for a house that I rent and the roof was leaking in the bathroom with raining. He was not the first trader to repair the roof but this work was previously done 3 weeks earlier with no success. Simon explained that the work was not done properly and the tiles need to be removed with replacement of button and roof membranes. the quote was £1350 after work completed the Bill was £1650. Simon failed to show me the membrane and button replaced and he lost his phone so he can not show me the pictures . The bill increase was due to replacement of the lead sheet across the roof. I explained that I will pay half the bill only and half after few months when I check that the roof repair is water tight. I explained that I will take the legal route to recover my money if repair failed. Simon was very unhappy . Discussed my proposal with his colleague and he called me with surprise that he reduced the bill to £700 to be paid now. He will not give me gurantee of he didn't charge me for the membrane and buttons. I went to poor water on the roof and all the water went straight to the bathroom. I sent pictures and Video to Simon . Unfortunately this unprofessional trader is not interested to do a proper job, his experience is quite limited and can not be trusted. More...

The reason why your roof was still leaking is i laid out monry for all the materials and made a start on your roof you then told me your not going to pay for the work hntil 6 months time so i said unless you make payment as soon as the job is complete i am not finishing the job. Then you ripped a hole in the new membrane and put a hose pipe through your roof this is the second professional you have done this to like you just said in your review you had someone else do it and didnt pay them either. I would recommend anyone not to work dor this customer as he is very rude and he will leave you out of pocket as you will pay for materials and will not. Get paid for the job jes a professional scan artist and his house roof has got no felt and leaving it in a state of decay for the tenant mould all around the property And a lot of mode While there is young children in the property Live in there so got bad health conditions are very cruel man in Deed

Simon and his team come out give me a really good price my roof was in a very bad state. He came out the morning after calling me and resolved the problem within a few days. Him and his workers were very polite & professional. I would definitely recommend them👍 More...

Simon came to quote for guttering replacement. We agreed on list of the tasks and fixed charges including materials. We fixed date to carried out the task.
He came around midday on the day was prescheduled. Carried out work by himself.
However he couldn’t complete the task because he didn’t bring drill machine ! And carried on replacing with the impact driver to replace. He couldn’t finish the job as these took longer for only himself to carry out task without right tools and didn’t bring enough materials to complete tasks. Wasn’t happy with how he carried out replacing gutters but he told me that’s the best way. I doubt these now.
Total charges £500 and he took £480 on that day. He promised he will be back in 2 days with right tools and materials to complete the job. It’s now more than 2 weeks and he still not arrived.
Make sure stay away from paying these traders before they complete job. More...

Hi we agreed to do your guttering ariund the front side of the house, i compleyed that job and you added on things we didnt agree for the price and then asked me to knock of 20 pounds which i happily did to keep you happy. As for saying i came on my own fitting guttering on the front side of a house is a 1 man job, they would be no point in having anyone else from our team there. I agreed to do the extra things you wanted doing for extra charge but you wasnt happy to do that so we left the job. I did not promise to come back they was nothing to come back for the job was complete. Also when i came to see the job you was knocking of money before i even started.
