What do you love most about your job?
I've always been in the financial industry and over the years have worked with various organisations, supporting and managing the financial services for various business clients based both locally and overseas.
Over the last 30 years, I've had exposure across various industry sectors including retail, services, manufacturing, hospitality and investment and what I find more rewarding about my job is the impact that I am able to have on businesses as I help them navigate their finances. Ensuring that all businesses big and small get the most out of every penny that comes through the business is so important, particularly during uncertain economic climates. I like to think my experience and qualifications leave me in a good position to support business owners on all scales.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been local to Croydon for as long as I can remember and after years servicing various sectors, industries and businesses, I felt that starting my own business to do exactly that seemed like the most natural step in terms of my professional progression.
With 30 years of experience at the senior level in accountancy practices, I want to leverage my skills to provide essential financial services to businesses in my local area. The bookkeeping industry allows me to combine my expertise with the opportunity to support businesses in maintaining accurate financial records, ultimately contributing to their business success.
My commitment to delivering excellence in bookkeeping services aims to provide local businesses in Croydon and its surrounding areas with the support they need with their books and records. We're Silver partners with Xero which is one of the industry's leading accounting software and we're also advanced certified on Quickbooks. Whilst we pride ourselves on being a local business, we operate using a fully cloud based system so you can be anywhere in the world and it wouldn't affect the great service we deliver all year round. That said, if you prefer a more face-to-face service, this can be arranged. Please ask! We are more than happy to accommodate you and your business needs and also appreciate no two businesses are the same.

Making Tax Digital
As of April 2019, VAT registered businesses (including self-employed and landlords) with a turnover above the VAT registration threshold (currently £85,000) have been required to:
keep their VAT records digitally
provide their VAT return information to HMRC through Making Tax Digital compatible software.
For other businesses the implementation date has been delayed, but it is not far away so consider getting prepared now.
