Lawn mowing
Edge trimming the edges of a lawn is a crucial step to create a clean and tidy appearance.
Strimming creates a neat border between the lawns, flower beds and driveways.
Premium service for those who want their property kept in top condition. Hassle free, fast and efficient service.
We understand the importance of a neat finish, we always leave your property tidy. Our team uses a leaf blower to gather and remove all the grass clippings.
Scarifying
This is the process of removing organic matter like thatch and moss from the base of the grass plants. If your lawn is left unattended, thatch will build up blocking water and nutrients getting to the soil and preventing the grass roots from developing. Spring is the best time to scarify but you can also achieve great results in autumn and is subject to each individual lawn condition. After you remove the organic matter you want new actively growing grass to fill those gaps so an application of fast growth fertiliser will help the new grass compete for that space and light.
Aeration
This is the process of removing hundreds of small soil cores from the ground and it is possibly one of the best treatments you can do for your lawn. Aeration allows water, nutrients and oxygen to get down to the roots and promotes deep, strong root growth. Aeration also helps to relieve compaction in the soil as overtime the holes left are closed in by the soil around them. Another reason why aeration is so beneficial is because of how it improves drainage and this is why we recommend to aerate your lawns twice a year.
Over seeding and Top dressing
Every year, hundreds of grass plants die in your lawn, this can be due to many variables. Sometimes disease, harsh weather conditions or even old age. If your lawn is mostly made up of bentgrass and fescues then this isn't much of a concern as long as you have a healthy sward, although over-seeding can still be beneficial. However, If your lawn contains any Rye type grass species which don't have any self spreading properties it can leave bear patches and areas of thin grass coverage which leaves space open for intruding weeds such as moss ect.
Weed control
Praxys is a brand new selective, systematic herbicide for amenity grassland. The list of weeds that praxys tackles goes on and on including: clover, daisy, bird's foot trefoil, thistle, black medick, creeping cinquefoil and many more.
Praxys is one of the most powerful, cost-effective and environmentally sensitive options on the market today. It has an extremely low does rate that gives a low environmental loading of active ingredients. Praxys however is not permitted for public purchase and usage without the correct licenses and qualifications.
Fertiliser
Nitrogen rich fertiliser is perfect to start off the growing season. Applied in 2-3mm granular form this product spreads easily leaving an even coverage. Nutrients are released over 6 weeks feeding the lawn as it grows. Unlike common liquid spray fertilisers, this means avoiding rapid top growth leading to excess repeated mowing.
