Life Coaching

Having recently retired, Berni has really helped me put strategies in place to cope with the overwhelm I was feeling. I knew that I needed to create more structure for the week but was not sure how to go about it. I am thrilled that with Berni’s coaching I was able to put together a plan of action and achieve all the targets set during the six sessions with her. I now feel confident to go it alone to move forward in setting goals both for the shorter and longer term.

Berni is a fabulous professional coach and through her guidance I have grown not only in confidence but personally as well. She is 100% committed to supporting her clients to achieve their objectives and I have really enjoyed working with her.

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a life-changing journey with the phenomenal life coach, Bernie. From the moment I started working with Bernie I knew I was in capable hands. Bernie’s insightful guidance and unwavering support have truly transformed my life.

Bernie has a unique ability to ask the right questions, leading me to discover insights and perspectives that I had never considered before. Through our sessions, I gained a deeper understanding of myself, my goals, and the steps needed to achieve them. Her positivity and belief in my potential helped me overcome self-doubt and fears, propelling me towards growth and success, ultimately resulting in my first Directors role.

What truly sets Bernie apart is her genuine care and dedication to her clients. Bernie brings a tailored approach that fit my individual needs and goals, providing practical tools and strategies that I could implement immediately. Bernie’s passion for helping others reach their full potential shines through in every session, making me feel empowered and motivated to take action.

Thanks to Bernie, I have made significant progress in both my personal and professional life. I have learned to set boundaries, prioritize self-care, and pursue my passions with confidence. I am forever grateful for the positive impact Redpoint has had on my life and would highly recommend Bernie’s services to anyone looking to make positive changes and achieve their dreams. Thank you, Bernie , for being an incredible guide on this transformative journey!

Put simply Berni makes a difference!
Having been coached and mentored over the last 2 years she has made me a better manager and a better leader
Her ability to listen as much to what is unsaid as well as openly articulated, to probe gently and help me find “best solutions for whatever I might be wrestling with
Her wide experience of the Corporate world and freelance work gives her unique insight and ability to motivate and help me achieve my goals. Her easy approachable and character never fails to motivate and indeed excite me for the challenges ahead.
I have no hesitation in recommending Berni as a true life coach for corporate and personal support
A great “active listener “with wisdom and insight !

Q&As

For me, counselling isn’t just a job — it’s a vocation. I feel incredibly privileged to be trusted with people’s stories, especially when I may be the only space where they truly feel heard. Supporting someone through their emotional pain, confusion, or self-doubt, and gently helping them make sense of things, is deeply meaningful. Sometimes the biggest impact comes not from offering answers, but from simply being there — present, accepting, and real. That human connection, and the quiet shifts I witness in people over time, never stop moving me.

Coaching is equally rewarding, but in a different way. I love working with people who are ready to make changes — even if they’re not sure how. Seeing someone reconnect with their confidence, set a goal that matters to them, and then actually achieve it — that’s powerful. It’s a joy to celebrate their wins and watch the transformation unfold. Knowing I’ve played a part in helping someone move from stuck to thriving makes this work feel incredibly fulfilling.

Giving back, making a difference, and walking alongside people — that’s why I do what I do.

After years of working for businesses and successfully helping people at all levels reach targets and goals and make changes, I wanted to make it more personal. I wanted to give back, to use everything that I have learnt and the mistakes that I have made to support others navigating career and life challenges or changes. Over the years there have been times when I have needed a coach or counsellor and the impact that they have had on me has been life changing. I wanted to be that person for others.

Yes, I have formal coaching qualifications — but more than that, I bring a wealth of real-life experience that no textbook can teach. I’ve been through burnout, redundancy, divorce, parenting struggles, and major life transitions. I’ve also experienced the power of turning things around — returning to education later in life, starting businesses, and achieving things I never thought possible.

I have a formal qualification and as a counsellor, I don’t just talk about emotional wellbeing — I’ve lived it. I know what it’s like to feel lost, overwhelmed, or in pain. I’ve sat in the client’s chair and experienced firsthand how powerful it is to be genuinely heard, supported, and understood. That experience shaped how I work: with empathy, compassion, and respect for the courage it takes to open up.

I’m down-to-earth, honest, and real. I don’t overpromise — but I care deeply. Whether you're seeking a safe space to explore painful emotions or you're looking to make practical changes in your life, I’ll meet you where you are. If it matters to you, it matters to me.

This isn’t just my job — it’s my purpose.

Yes I mainly work online. I am happy to hold sessions via video call or telephone. I think for at least some of the sessions video is beneficial, to actually have that visual engagement is really important but I will work with clients in any way that works best for them. There is not a one way fits all!

Online is the safest way and even now with face to face sessions I will be guided by the client as to what they need.

Services

Career, personal, health and wellbeing , life balance and business coaching.
Real-life experience meets professional support to help you reach your next summit—personally and professionally.

Whether you're navigating a career shift, facing leadership demands, adjusting to life after retirement, managing change, or feeling stuck, I offer practical, grounded support to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

At Redpoint, I provide both life coaching services—tailored to where you are right now and where you want to be.

Coaching focuses on setting goals, making decisions, and unlocking potential. It's future-oriented and action-based—ideal when you're ready to make a change but need focus, structure, and accountability.
I work with professionals, business owners, and individuals at all stages of life. Whether you're aiming higher or rebuilding after a setback, you'll be met with empathy, honesty, and lived experience.

My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and rooted in the belief that change is always possible—because I’ve lived it, too.

Sometimes, life feels overwhelming. You may be carrying emotional pain, going through a significant life change, or simply feeling stuck, anxious, or lost. When things don’t make sense, talking to someone in a safe, confidential space can help you find your way again.

At Redpoint, I offer person-centred counselling — a non-directive, compassionate approach that puts you at the heart of the process.
Person-centred counselling is based on the belief that we all have the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding — given the right conditions.

That means:

You lead the conversation.

I listen without judgement, without giving advice, and without trying to “fix” you.

Together, we explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at your pace, in your way.

This type of counselling can be particularly helpful if:

You feel unheard, unseen, or misunderstood in other areas of your life.

You’re trying to make sense of difficult past experiences.

You’re facing anxiety, low mood, self-doubt, or life transitions.

You want to reconnect with your sense of self and rebuild confidence.
