This company carried out work on my chimney stacks, downpipe and pointing walls a couple of months ago. I am a Landlady who lives away and hadn't checked their work. I returned later to find water leaking into the bedroom from one of the chimney breast worked on by them. The pointing was incomplete with big gaps in brickwork left and the downpipe was in two pieces leaking water onto the brickwork and not secured to the wall as brackets were not fixed - pretty much the same condition as before they arrived. I spent around £1,350. They said they found more work elsewhere on the roof to be done when they were there, worth a further £500 but I was suspicious and said to leave it alone. They sounded quite forceful and I felt threatened at the time as I don't know these guys. I need to hire someone to correct their work now before more damage is done to my property. I was chasing them to return and nobody returned - they replied asking for a telephone number but no visit, despite a written guarantee on their work. More...
