About

I am a qualified teacher for 27 years and I have tutored students aged 5 to 16 years old for 22 years. After working in many settings, including mainstream and private schools in London, International schools across Europe and Asia, and special educational schools in the UK, I have now settled back in the UK with my family.
I specialise in dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, ASD and working with pupils with neurodiversity who require an alternative, up-to-date and current way of teaching since they learn differently. This way of teaching also benefits all pupils to excel and achieve their excepted grades. I also work with pupils studying for their GCSE exams in English, teaching productive and achievable exam preparation skills as well as effective and valuable essay writing skills to answer exam questions confidently and successfully. They have gone on to achieve outstanding exam grades as a result.
I also support pupils preparing for their 11+ exams, especially in the areas of English and Maths.
Building confidence and the stamina to work hard in the right way to achieve the results that pupils want is also one of my skills.
I have a good understanding and knowledge of the National Curriculum across primary and secondary ages ( 5yrs to 16 yrs) since I have worked extensively in both areas in schools and while tutoring.
I work with students and their families to create bespoke, multi-sensory learning programs based on the pupil's strengths, difficulties, and interests to engage them in their learning and successfully support them in achieving their goals.
Motivating and inspiring pupils through various teaching methods, effective behaviour management strategies, high-quality, creative planning, up-to-date, relevant and interactive resources is my top priority.
Along with the use of information technology with beneficial educational software to enhance learning .
I provide consistent feedback to parents and students every lesson and evaluate throughout the lesson to ensure the students are learning to their full potential.
I love to see my students feel positive about their learning and confident that they can achieve their fullest potential and higher grades, whether it is learning basic skills in the early years or preparing for their exams and GCSEs. They will learn to thrive and flourish.
