I started training with Ben at RL Fitness Suite in September 2024 and haven't looked back. Ben’s flexibility has allowed me to establish a routine that fits around family and professional commitments, which require regular travel, something I value immensely. I’ve run on and off over the years but never really felt that I have been able to establish an enjoyable commitment to my own fitness. Ben has inspired and motivated me to keep pushing myself, build healthy habits and provided the encouragement and accountability I needed. Session are great fun, Ben is an all-round awesome guy who will make anyone feel at home in the gym and the RL Fitness Suite is a wonderful community to be part of. Ben at Prosperity Health and Fitness is super supportive and above all a great trainer. His dedication to the client and understanding are second to none. Initially I wanted to improve my leg and core strength to improve my running, reducing injuries and niggles. Getting in the gym once a week with Ben instantly gave me a love for strength training! At 40 I know there's huge benefits to maintaining muscle in later life. I've always wanted to hit the gym but had so so experiences with a major chain. When I first met Ben, I hated the gym, I’d been a member of various gyms locally and always wasted my money! I now love training in the gym! Training with Ben is worlds apart from a direct debit leaving your account for a mystical building full of weights and crazy looking equipment and people who look like they’ve got it all together! Ben will guide you through it and when you’ve done a horrific work out that hurts like mad, you thank him as you leave! I cannot recommend it enough! More...

After a medical condition and associated weight gain over past 2 years treatment i started to train hard for many hours a week but that just wasnt giving the desired benefits.
So needed to step up and was referred to Ben Clifton by Rick Lowe,training at RL Fitness Suite.
Only been 5/6 weeks but already the changes and benefits are really starting to show,body changing shape week on week,the energy i now have.I know i struggle to see the difference but people who see me week on week really notice the changes.
Just when you think your training hard thats when guys like Ben come in,its the last 20% of a set you struggle to push out and he's their on your shoulder telling yourself to push through the last 10 seconds to go or 3 more reps to get,thats the difference with training with a PT like Ben Clifton

Ben is absolutely amazing, he was very welcoming and friendly on our first and has continued throughout our journey. He helped us understand how to achieve a better lifestyle and dietary goals by calorie counting (which I was sure about but Ben showed us how easy and fun it can be). Ben is precise and encouraging with what we need to do to achieve our goals and RL Fitness Suite is a positive and relaxed environment even when Ben decides to beast us (for our own good though). Would highly recommened Ben he truly is amazing and best of all we've already seen results in just a short 4 week period we have lost a whopping 18lbs between us!! THANK YOU BEN!! More...

100% worth getting in contact with Ben to get started. Without a doubt worth the investment for the best version of you!

I've been working with Ben since the the beginning of the year. I've gone from being worried about stepping through a gym door, to now absolutely loving my new fitness journey and always eager to book my next session!
I've noticed a big change in my confidence in both the gym environment and completing the workouts themselves.
Ben has understood my insecurities from the beginning and made me feel nothing but comfortable. Ben is really knowledgeable in the fitness industry and is great at keeping the sessions fun and varied.
He makes you graft, but it's so worth it! I am now probably the strongest I have ever been, with an added bonus of lifting with the correct form for the first time!

In just a few weeks I’ve gone from hating the gym to almost enjoying it!! In all seriousness training with Ben is great fun, I’ve noticed a huge difference in my fitness and strength and I've laughed a lot whilst doing it. He’s understood me from the beginning and just simply ignores my complaining! The best recommendation I can provide is that I’ve already dragged a friend along to my sessions. I've been working with Ben for over a year - and I am so pleased with the increase in my fitness levels!

Ben knows my abilities so well, has worked with me through various issues I have (back issues and a leg injury) and is great at targeting routines specifically towards my goals - for example I just ran my first 10k !

The facility is also really well organised, not at all intimidating like a gym can be and stocked with some great equipment.

Highly recommended.

Ben is an amazing PT. He understands everybodys individual goals and really works with you to achieve those goals. Other PTs I've used in the past have adopted a one size fits all approach but Ben doesn't do that.

He pushes you as far as you can be pushed not just on a physical level but on a mental level too. Had a bad day - he'll take it a bit easier, feeling stressed or irritable the heavy weights come out.

Training with Ben is so much more than just working to a physical fitness goal but also ensuring that your head stays strong too. It's almost like having a free therapist too!

Ben is a great PT… he understands the blocks people have to fitness (both mental and physical) and works with you to find your best way through. Recently started working with Ben to start my weight loss journey as a complete beginner in fitness, Bens been amazing with demonstrating and talking me through every exercise, he’s also very caring, committed and knows exactly which steps to take in what you’re working on, not only the fitness but the nutrition, Ben has set me a plan with a daily calorie intake to suit me and my weight. He has also given me daily goals such as daily steps, stretches and motivating me to drink plenty of water everyday. The suite its self is a positive and judge free environment. Being very nervous to start something new like this to say I feel completely comfortable after 3 sessions is really nice! Just wanted to leave a quick review for Ben that is 100% deserved. Started using Prosperity Health and Fitness about 18 months ago. Due to an increase in blood pressure and generally feeling sluggish, I decided I needed a personal trainer to hold me accountable and develop a plan to get my fitness levels back. Ben has been fantastic at managing both myself and my expectations after having history of lifting weights in the past. The location of the gym and the standard of equipment is top notch and the whole feel of the gym environment is brilliant. Ben assesses the individuals level of fitness and then works hard to push you to achieve the goals and targets you set in place. I was nervous about starting training and fitness, having been pretty much away from the gym and any real activity since Covid 19. My body felt achy, weak, and injured and my confidence was rock bottom. Ben has been so reassuring and supportive in his approach that it’s never too late, and we can achieve by building up slowly, surely and regularly. I started working with Ben to build my fitness, and improve health. He’s helped me get back into running, through a half marathon, built my confidence back and to top it off I’ve loved the feeling after every session. Ben really gets to know his clients, he knows when to push the workouts and is great at adapting to what you need in the session. Ben is a great friend of mine, having met working together elsewhere, but he is truly meant to be a trainer, he is fantastic at it! As a keen runner, I had been struggling with reoccurring niggles for some time and decided to look for a Personal Trainer, who could help me to improve my overall strength whilst improving my running pace. After two years' or consistent progress, training with Ben has been the best decision that I could have made, with notable improvements in both areas. I started my sessions with Ben with an overall aim to improve my upper body and core strength, an area of my fitness that I felt was lacking. I was a complete beginner with weights and had no idea what to expect really going into the sessions. I have found Ben to be very patient and helpful; he demonstrates every exercise we do, often multiple times when needed! He explains exactly which muscle each exercise should be working and more importantly he has shown me how to do them safely and how to improve my technique whilst doing so. We do a variety of workouts each week and Ben always gives me the encouragement and often the push I need to go above and beyond what I would do on my own! I have never had an aim of being able to lift a particular weight but knowing that over the last year and half we have gradually upped them as time has gone on, when I look back I can see how far I’ve come. Especially now I am able to do press ups which was something I thought I’d never be able to do! Lastly, Ben has always been as flexible as possible in requests to move session times to accommodate school holidays etc and since being in the fitness suite I’ve been able to take my little girl to the odd session when needed and Ben has been great on allowing her to join in on some exercises with me which she has loved. Ben is a top guy. He combines having an excellent understanding of physical fitness with mental fitness. I’ve competed with him in marathons and ultramarathons but also seen him have the patience of a saint whilst encouraging far less confident individuals on the 3 Peaks challenge. Highly reccomended.

I’m so glad Prosperity have finally opened up their page to reviews, I’ve been dying to get this off my chest: I was going to say one of the best personal trainers in the area, however, I will have to go one better. THE best personal trainer in the area. Ben really knows how to make you question every life choice you’ve made to lead you into a 6am training session on a freezing winter morning, but when you get going, there’s no better feeling (well, relaxing in the Bahamas is pretty good). In all seriousness, Ben really knows his stuff. He’ll push you hard to be the best version of yourself, all whilst having a great sense of humour and a good chat at the same time. I work with my clients by tailoring their programme to meet their needs and goals. No two clients are the same and what works for one person might not work for another. For me personal training is not just about the session, its about supporting clients in between too, with regular check ins, accountability, support and guidance.
