Cancelled 4mins before the scheduled booked appointment but not only that now are struggling to refund the cost of the booking. Ridiculous company.

My experience with Polarity has been great. I’m always very nervous about having any work done in my house because I’ve been burned by rubbish tradesmen and poor customer service before. But I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by the work Polarity have done for me. They did a swift EICR report for me when I needed it and more recently replaced all my electric fan heaters with liquid filled electric radiators. The communication prior to the job was good, the workmen were extremely polite and hoovered up after themselves afterwards which was lovely (and unusual in my experience with tradesmen!). The electrician also programmed my heaters for me and took time and patience to show me how to amend the settings myself which really made all the difference to me. ZERO communications. I had to chase and strongarm Polarity so much to get anything out of them. This was for an EICR which they should full-well know has a time limit on it. The work itself was....fine. But I'd never go with them. I even had to chase them to give them money. Terrible unprofessional company. Nothing but stress. I have had an Electrical Inspection Report carried out, the usual person that does this for me could not do it. I chose the cheapest. £95 seemed great, but it cost me more overall. Lost money as we waited more than 2weeksfor this report. No response. Calls were never picked up. The report was never sent. They raised so many adverse points. Current EICR was stil valid for another 3 years and no adverse issues raised. Having gone to another Electrician it seems the latest report carried out by Polarity was just to force us to spend money on unnecessary works. Warning to anyone requesting services from this company

This is a very dishonest and dishonorable company. They fail you deliberately on your EICR so they can quote for work you don't need.

They will offer a small fee of £95 using a false sales gimmick , and then insist you pay the invoice before they release the certificate. Then they fail you for no reason at all and send you quote for unnecessary works. Basically, £95 they charge you is to help their cash flow. They are obviously going bust with trading practices like this.

Total waste of time and money.

Call in another professional company and you'll pass first time.

These people are scammers, avoid. They draw you in with a low price for an EICR certificate then present you with a £199 bill for remedial work on a 8 year old flat. I have called twice asking for a proper breakdown of the work and am simply told "the price is the price." Following a conversation with a Polarity employee after contacting them via Local Heroes I detailed the work required. Received quote the next day however details of the job we discussed wereomitted. To avoid any dispute I asked for these details to be included in the cost estimate. I repeated the details of the work required online. Exactly the same as the first conversation with Polarity. I duly received a second quote which was almost a 300% increase on the first quote. I immediately cancelled the job and went with a more reliable and more cost efficient alternative. Awful service, attended on behalf of local hero’s, who I use a lot for my property maintenance throughout the Country. They attended, didn’t fix the problem or advise me what the issue was, just requested payment of the call out. Despite numerous attempts to be advised of the problem, the owner of this Company continued to request his call out charge.
