Plan Architect Studio are a small scale practice focusing on quality design that the client can relate to. We create a concept design using 3D visualisations that show the concept. We will then develop this design based on client feedback and produce a full package of drawings for planning, pricing and construction.

Zoe is superb. She collaborated with me to design a log cabin, provided drawings, filled out an application and submitted it on my behalf for a certificate of lawful development, which has been successful. Zoe took full ownership of this project, chasing up the council to make sure the application was converted. I did not think Zoe would have chased up with the council on my behalf, as this was not part of our discussions, and as far I as I was concerned her job was done, so she will go that little bit extra mile for her clients. What do you love most about your job?
Mostly I love the variety, every day is different when you are an Architect. Starting a new project is always exciting, however big or small. There is also great sense of satisfaction when work is completed and clients are happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Many things! Having worked in practice for 10 years, it is nice to be able to learn from this and do things my way in my own practice. Being a sole trader also gives me the opportunity to better balance my work and family life, so if little ones need attention in the afternoon, my work can get done when they have gone to bed!
Why should our clients choose you?
Having technically been my own first private client, extending and fully renovating my own house, I understand what it is like to go through the process from both sides. I also want what is best for the client and their property, I would never force expensive ideas on anyone for the sake of my own portfolio. I have diverse experience which I can apply to any domestic or commercial project and offer flexibility in how involved I can be in the full process from concept sketches and 3D models, through construction work to paint colours and flooring choices!
Concept Design
We can provide sketch drawings and images of a number of concept options in order to provide the perfect design for you. This is always for a set fee agreed at the start.
Planning Guidance
We can advise on whether or not your project requires planning permission, or if it is classed as 'permitted development'. Either way we can put a drawing package together to suit and get the right permission in place. This is always for a set fee agreed at the start.
Costing drawings
If you require a package of drawings to get costs from your builder then we can help! This is always for a set fee agreed at the start.
Building Control Drawings
We can provide a full package of Architectural drawings in order to obtain building control approval. We can also liaise with the building control officer and advise on any further requirements. This is always for a set fee agreed at the start.
Site Supervision
When your project is on site we can liaise with the builders to ensure everything runs smoothly, visiting site when required and answering any queries that arise. This is always for a set fee agreed at the start.
Interior Design
If you are stuck with ways to give your finished building the WOW factor, we can help! We can advise on styles, colour schemes and choices that will help make your home look great. This is always for a set fee agreed at the start.
