What do you love most about your job?
The absolute pleasure and delight when my client sees their cake for the first time. Designing cakes is a collaborative process. Clients often have a vision of how they would like their cake to look. It is my job to push the boundaries of of their vision so we can create something truly unique.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always enjoyed the process of designing and creating art. When a legal job came to an end, I took the opportunity to challenge myself to explore creativity as a cake artist.
Why should our clients choose you?
First and foremost, I truly appreciate that when I make a cake for your special occasion, that it is a privilege. I take that seriously. You will look at my work for a few hours, then eat it and it’s gone. It is the memories that my work leaves that is important. If, I am able to enhance that special day even in a small way, I feel I have succeeded. Recently, my client told me that her wedding guests said that my cake was one of the best cakes they had ever eaten. That is the best compliment.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
What I have learned from our global experience of Covid is ensuring a clean working environment. Washing hands, washing surfaces, disinfecting surfaces is the best means of ensuring customer safety.
Cake Design
I design and make celebration cakes from wedding cakes to children’s birthday cakes. Wedding cakes are my speciality.
Classes
I teach children and adults, the science of baking mouth watering cakes and the art of designing and decorating cakes.
