Philip is an amazing teacher. He makes his lessons engaging and fun and my child has made excellent progress within the last 6 weeks! 100% recommend! He is fab!

At 64 never having played any instrument , Phil has given me the confidence to learn at my own pace, at the end of each lesson you feel more confident, phil is a great teacher and coach.

Started my first guitar lessons with phill recently as a complete beginner and have already learned lots. He’s great at working with you at your own pace and your own interests in music. Highly recommend

Philip is an incredibly patient teacher. He was able to tailor our lessons to my individual needs, he is always happy to answer questions and give me personalised tips.

In particular I appreciated his honesty when he advised me to focus on single string playing as that is the thing I struggle the most with.

Another aspect of our lessons that I find very helpful is just him playing the bars for me as I do struggle to recognise the rhythm of the song by simply looking at the staff.

Lastly I find his little reminders like allocating one finger per fry/string to be very helpful

Overall I’m really enjoying Philip’s lessons and would recommend him to anyone looking for a teacher. He is very patient and never judging me on my mistakes regardless of how many times I had to try the C major scale before I got it almost right 😁 More...
